The 40s Neighborhood
Over the past four years, CommunityWorks’ Community Empowerment Coach, Jonna, has been partnering with resident leaders like Robin, Rolunda, and Makya to cultivate relationships and discover gifts in the West of Washington neighborhood in Holland, MI. This has included hosting events, connecting with community resources, and most importantly bringing neighbors together!
Through listening to the community, these Connectors heard a desire for more programs and opportunities and quickly got to work. We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Good Samaritan Ministries to launch a Circles program in the neighborhood! Through this partnership, made possible by the support of the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area, these Connectors will provide a relationship-driven, asset-based initiative for economic mobility. Additionally, the City of Holland and 3Sixty have officially partnered to further support south side connecting work through Lori Appledoorn.
